SLIDES AMONG THE BEAUTIFUL UMBRIAN VALLEYS... OUR OIL, OUR HISTORY
For 70 years, the history of the Oil Mill and of a Suatoni family
The Suatoni Oil Mill is a historic company, located in southern Umbria, in the territory of Amelia, province of Terni. We have been in business since 1949, producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil, cold pressed from our olives. We are now in the third generation; our company has 70 years of true history, lived with passion. From the founder Franco, to his son Vincenzo with his wife Anna and to his nephew Francesco with his wife Giuditta: the Suatoni family is proud to produce a unique extra virgin olive oil, born from the natural pressing of a precious fruit.
Young and centuries-old olive trees, an extraordinary extra virgin olive oil
The landscape of the splendid Umbrian valleys, of the hills surrounding Amelia, is an extraordinary beauty show. It is characterised by centuries-old and young olive groves, which produce a precious fruit, exceptional olives from which a quality EVOO is obtained. The Suatoni family has invested a lot of energy over time, a lot of passion to obtain an excellent oil. We also produce a high-quality, monovarietal oil (a native quality called Rajo), as recognised by many experts, in many competitions and specialised magazines.
A land dedicated to olive trees, the olive groves conducted with the organic method
The olive groves are conducted with the organic method (certified organic), and ours was the first company in the area to have this organic certification (since 1995). Our territory is particularly suited to the cultivation of olive trees, thanks to the characteristics of the soil and the mildness of the climate. A territory which is inherently devoid of the presence of pests, therefore it does not require the use of anticryptogamic substances, always offering us the possibility to carry on a completely natural cultivation.
