The Suatoni Family owns both the commercial farm and "Il Frantoio" oil mill, which are located 1 km far from the historical centre of Amelia. The farm consists of 1,000 olive trees, including 800 trees planted after the terrible winter of 1985. We only produce extra-virgin olive oil extracted from olives farmed both in our farm and other neighbouring farms. "Il Frantoio" is exclusively extra-virgin olive oil with a very low acidity rate, which, at the beginning of the oil season (2-3 November) doesn't reach 0,15%. This is due to an accurate selection of the olives. Our oil is green, it has a refined scent, and its fresh flavour leaves an almond taste. It fits every kind of cousine, and it tastes its best if you use it uncooked. |
