History

Olio Amelia

Away back in 1949, my grandfather has been taken as a production coordinator in an oil mill near Amelia. Two years later he became the direct sales foreman.

He had the good luck to see the progress of the mill, since the oil mill where he was working was originally a walking mill, and then it became a watermill being near a stream, then it had an internal-combustion engine and finally it became an electric mill.

In 1967 my father Vincenzo, chief executive officer, along with three other members, decided to manage an old oil mill. Two years later they did some modernization works of the machineries. For 10 years from 1980 only two members left, and they decided to manage an oil mill which was near the to previous one.

The big turning point was in the 1990 when my father made up his mind to install a new traditional press system with the help of my mother, and afterwards also with my help, in the big storehouses below our current flat.

In 1998 there was another significant improvement: the renovation of the old continuos system. This way we reached a top-level production and met an even bigger success due to the quality of our products.
